I also can make my own i think i usually prefer to know about individual character creation and how it resonates with the players identity but as an artists it would be interesting to know what people prefer in terms of artstyle and what they like.... but the paper is only supposed to be like 3-4 pages long so yea.. i wanna do a questionnaire so it would be interesting to know peoples thoughts esp bcs this will also help me decide on my bachelor thesis

yes but more so character design and im kinda interested in people who create their own characters in a game that allows individual character creation and why they choose to make them look a cetain way. Some of them design characters looking similar to them and others completely fictional ones. Its also intersting to know if this influences the choices they make in the game depending on if the character is supposed to be a self insert or has their own characteristics ughh i wanna do it alllll

Wait that’s so interesting …. Its something I think about so much since seeing a bunch of bg3 memes about like everyone making half elves so that they can still feel fantasy while playing a self insert meanwhile I wouldn’t pick human/elf/half elf even if I WAS making a self insert in I wish I could see into these peoples brains to understand it all

this is also just my own observation but i noticed that when a person who doesnt play video games designs a character it usually resembles themselves and people with game experience tend to create fictional ones.
