no fr and my mom always goes like "i cant believe people are this evil" and i have to remind her that shes seeing a very concentrated amount of bad people and that most people are not like this....

Real news only shows one side or the other usually. Like a story is formed and everyone just goes with that story and only one side of story is shown and they usually hide the stuff they don't want anyone to know.
With social media, everyone puts in input and you do your own research and come to your own conclusion, without the TV or whatever biased news media telling you what's up.

it was rly cool to read news about the government wanting me to die and then accidentally scroll too far down and all the comments being like "they should make it even worse for these waste of space [slur] they deserve it"
