yes of course, theres a character in the book the shadow of the wind by carlos ruiz zafón that has a white cat named kurtz which is named after a character from the book heart of darkness by joseph conrad 

the shadow of the wind is one of the first books i ever fell in love with and it is part of what shaped my deep appreciation for books. it was after i read the book for a second time that i realized i wanted my own little kurtz :i
