its probably depending on the situation but ive been told from people who told their parents that reacted "weirdly" (not aggressive or kicking you out) just needed time to adjust. Hopefully she will come around and realize that its not a big deal but its nice that the date went great Im sure it sucks and is heartbreaking to see a parent react that way but they also come from a time where they have been led to believe this isnt absolutely normal and need time to see that their child is doing fine. It might be from a place of worry and experiencing the "unknown" i wish you the best and hopefully the relationship between you and your mom will get stronger with time.
