I'VE AGED OUT OF MY FAVE GENRES! AND BEING "YOUNG." THIS IS A SAD REALITY bc none of my opinions on those BOOKS or reading among youth are valid for anything anymore. And everyone is obsessed with "making children read." (ANYTHING CAN BE EXCUSED WITH "AS LONG AS MORE PEOPLE READ".) 

* overconsumption of books is currently an extremely unpopular opinion thanks to the unstable political climate in the US :) don't try to mention this on Threads, you will get attacked

- I hate how insta forces people to post just to stay in some vague ass favor of the algorithms. It's honestly giving capitalist hellscape.
- I don't like seeing arc reviews posted again and again and again 6 months before the book even is out!!
- I don't like how there are soooo many versions of the same book, all competing for the pretties design and sprayed edges. I've fallen for it myself and cover buy has never been more real. 
- LITERALLY HOW DID I END UP WITH A FEED FILLED WITH THE SAME BOOKS OVER AND OVER AND ROMANCES I DONT EVEN READ


Omg ME AND BOOK COMMUNITY ARE IN A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP. I feel like I have to shut down my booksta soon and maybe change to a more personal account for life things.

i feel ike readers should have a safe space to discuss what they like /dont like abt a book without fearing that the author can read it and will take it personally
