i consider her a friend but we dont talk very regularly. i attended her bday at a restraunt a couple weeks ago, and i think its cool we both have similar beliefs when it comes to God and deep stuff like that
i have a group of 3 friends i sometimes spend time with, usually just a few times during summer, and maybe Christmas for gift exchange

so thats like what, 4 friends, and my hubby and mom
i rarely talk to my dad
my sister cut me off completely

so i gotta ask the good ppl of vp: how do you make friends? and where do you start?  im 26 its not like i can be like "hey i like your mickey mouse shirt wanna be friends???" so i really dont know how adults can start friendships
idk where i would even find them! i go to church but mine is mostly old people, and their young grandkids, so no one i could relate to
im so lonely most of the time and i could use some extra companions from time to time sad

I agree this is the easiest way
but also if you have specific hobbies you could try to find people who have the same hobbies through the internet or maybe even locally if there are meet-ups/events (I've seen posters for a pottery meet-up, knitting meet-up and so on)

i think it's realistically my autism and the atypical non-verbal communication that comes with it, but it's so frustrating )): like idk how people actually do it?? i can "get" a person to meet up with me once or twice but they usually ghost me after so ik i'm doing smth wrong but idk what
