I close my curtains when I sleep

if I had a door and no cat I would close

if I had a door and a cat I would keep it slightly open

I think there’s just a degree of feeling protected from an evolutionary standpoint to have the door closed? So having it open just feels off

Closing the bedroom door is the same as Percy sitting under the table when he’s already inside with a ceiling
