What is the role of
Private
Prince of Pop

A parent once their child is an adult

like what role do our parents have in our lives now bc theyre done raising us

alternatively, what does "being there for someone" entail really?
Private
Minister of Pop

to be there when u need it, emotionally
the only difference now that Im grown up is that Ill be there for them too when they need it

I mean to get super nitty gritty it depends on culture nd the family u grew up in
But my mom still calls her mom when she needs her and grandma makes sure nothing hurts her baby and that's the way I want it to be. Grandma will never stop seeing mom as her baby

I've seen them cry and get angry at each other, that is inevitable, people who love each other can get disagreements. But it always ends in a hug and telling each other how much they love each other bcus they do, even in disagreement

being there for someone definition I think depends a lot on the person someone wud think one thing is being there for someone while the other disagrees so that is hard

I think once we're adults, the relationship shifts from parenting to simply being family and choosing to support each other. "Being there" doesn't always mean solving problems—it can be listening without judgment, showing up when it matters, respecting each other's independence, and knowing someone has your back even when life gets messy. That kind of presence can mean just as much as raising someone did.
