"can u try" is a question to which ur answer can be no, or u can simply try and not be able to
u dont haveĀ to come into work, u r allowed to be sick (physically, mentally, both, neither - literally none of a boss' business)
id set an alarm and text her an hr or two before ur morning shift is about to start confirming that u will in fact be using egenmelding

as for next time calling ur boss at 1am is inappropriateĀ
