probably not !! just funny because all the silence and paying respects happened organically on the day, then everyone moved on and life went back to normal and now its being mandated almost two weeks later

the monarchy is such a background thing, you hardly ever notice it, and suddenly its staring at you from every angle and the station speakerphones are telling you what to do lmaoo it caught me so off guard they really went ahead and made the very serious historic day amusing

aaa yes i can imagine that feeling weird!!
we have an as good as mandatory 2 minute silence every year here on may 4th to remember all the ppl who died in ww2 so it doesn't sound too weird to me BUT i can imagine if u never have mandatory silence moment that it's super strange to have a thing like that being 'forced' by the government
