i feel so pissed off at them rn. my ex has been homeless for two years and relied on friends and relatives for housing, which has been ofc super unstable bc this ofc depends on kindness of the people and even the kindest people have limits to their kindness and often expect something in return that the person theyre helping cannot give.
my ex has been on a hunt for housing all this time and its very hard bc hes also unemployed and as a homeless, extremely mentally ill person its ofc hard to get a job and at the moment he 100% should not be having one. then theres the dog too and dependence on places like the job center and diakonie for his basic needs.
throughout the years he has sometimes been accepted for a place, but job center has ex. deemed it too expensive (even when it alligns with their stupid charts..), not given the acceptance letter whatever in time for the landlord, etc. this month he got in touch with a nice landlord through the diakonie who understands his situation. he got accepted for the apartment, yay.
guess what happens 3 days before hes supposed to move in??!
job center, thats what happens!
they inform my ex that the place is too expensive after all! mind you that the acceptable rent for them is already ridiculously low for todays market and its nearly impossible to find a place within that range to begin with. the landlord is luckily willing to find a way to make the job center accept the place given that my ex has been homeless for TWO FRICKING YEARS but what the actual f.
and its so messed up that theres so little help like my ex has called the homeless hotline or whatever for help and theyve basically told him that he shouldnt go to the shelter bc its too unsafe and my ex has been like yo but what do i do though if this last place i can go to kicks me out one day and the worker just goes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the system is so broken oml im so mad for my ex
