I finished watching GOT yesterday and I don't know how to feel about this goddamned show. I liked the characters and the storylines were interesting, nothing too ground breaking but yk, I enjoyed seeing where everyone would end up and so on.

Here is the problem though, and the reason it was such a hard watch for me, it's as if it was written by some horny ass teenager. Like every other scene is a sex scene or has some form of nudity. And usually I wouldn't mind a bit sprinkled here and there when I'm watching a show since I usually just skip it and it won't affect my viewing experience, but in got, they could literally be discussing things or maybe we're getting some character insight and here I am starting at somebody's ass or tits OR there is literally two people in the back fucking and moaning... And it goes on and on and on...

I ended up skipping so much because I usually eat while watching shows and I don't want to see or hear that shit while eating. And everytime I think I've gotten used to it they get even worse. Like in one of the scenes literally started with the camera on somebody's dick... Like in what way is that necessary? It's all just so perverted and disturbing.

Like if I were to be honest sometimes it even felt disrespectful towards the actresses, because while the male actors get dressed immediately after sex the female characters just stay naked. Like when Rob and his wife were done, he immediately gets up and puts on a shirt, whereas his wife just stays in bed butt naked, doesn't even cover herself with the blanket or anything, and starts writing a letter to her mom. And the camera angle is from above so we're just starting at her ass. Riveting stuff really.

As for the story itself, as I had said earlier it's alright, The actors and actresses were phenomenal and the only reason I finished the show. They were just so good at what they do. My personal favorite are Sansa Stark and Tyrion lannister, but Arya stark, Jon snow, Brianne, Bran Stark, Bronn and so many other characters were also good, like I said a phenomenal cast. My absolute favorite though was the dragons (the whole entire reason I started watching the show).

Another thing I didn't like was how they made Cersei make the dumbest decisions towards the end like it's a personal fucking pet peeve of mine when a character acts out of character just so that the story can progress in the way the writer wanted it to. Like she was such a good villain, Not as cheesy as Joffery or Ramsey, nor as bad or vague as the white walkers. She had substance and  felt untouchable sometimes, so for her to just end up dead to fulfill the witch's prophecy is so stupid. Like Daenerys going crazy, fine whatever I'll pretend to accept it (her whole shtick is liberating slaves and helping people but burns down a whole city and it's people for one girl? Okay) but Cersei would have escaped. She have never made the stupid decision of staying, if only to prove the prophecy wrong by giving birth to her fourth child.

Actually If I were to sum up the whole ending, it would be: the girls are fighting because they are too emotional and it proves that Jon snow, the last male Targaryen, is the true heir to the throne...

So yeah, that's it, thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

I did not watch the show because fantasy is not my cup of tea, but the backlash with the last season was huge. Some shows are starting strong, gets a mid in the middle and the ending is the worst.

Yeah fantasy is not usually my thing either unless it's something like supernatural or good omens (they're considered fantasy I think?) and I can understand the hate for the last season, it made no sense, so if you ask me I wouldn't recommend it

There is a show called LOST that stared string and the middle got confusing so i stopped watching it. The ending was bad. I did not see it but people felt cheated on and there was a lot of disappointment. There should be a rule that the ending must be done before they start a show. Cartoons suffer from this to, the ending  either gets rushed or leave a lot of plot holes and so on.

Yeah The mentalist had the same problem, the story was very compelling and the characters were good but the ending was dogshit, especially the episode when they went to Beirut... I had to drop the show for a while before coming back just to finish it. Though I would say the last season ended better than the one before it

Its never a good idea just to wing the ending and just put things together. And the longer a show is going on the harder it will be to get a good ending. And good shows only get one season and a bad show gets many seasons ( Netflix im looking at you!)
I think i started it, i have started so many shows and just dropped them in the middle.
