I mean, sure, you could say that those who have the means should pay, but that should be done through taxes instead, so that it can benefit everyone.

I personally dont see how getting students, who mind u is our future after all.. have to be drowning in loans and debt from such age is any good.
It also means we are losing alot of good hands, because people dont have the money to get the education they need.

yeah but in general i don't think there's any level that should be free specifically, all levels should be free, no one should "own" knowledge

but then why is America not free already? besides the fact that our government is full of trash-eating ignorant apes? I mean, if it doesn't hurt anything in some of the world's best countries, what exactly do we need the money for?
