On April 11th, HBO released its new epic fantasy/sci-fi series:

 T H E   N E V E R S

The show is a sci-fi adventure set in the Victorian London era, featuring two female leads.
I'll leave the summary below:






A touch of power can change the world.

Victorian London is rocked to its foundations by a supernatural event that gives certain people — mostly women — abnormal abilities, from the wondrous to the disturbing.

But no matter their particular "turns," all who belong to this new underclass are in grave danger. It falls to mysterious, quick-fisted widow Amalia True and brilliant young inventor Penance Adair to protect and shelter these gifted "orphans."

To do so, they will have to face the brutal forces determined to annihilate their kind.

I watched the first episode of this series on the release date, and it seemed very promising!
Personally, I'm a huge fan of Victorian London, so by adding a bit of fantasy and sci-fi to that setting HBO's really nailed a concept that appeals to me.

Ikr? Sadly in the past years things have been burning up a bit. What sucks the most, is that once something is burning it's really easy for it to travel since the houses are pretty close to each other. But everything's been good lately, and hopefully it stays that way longer.

Definitely is. Well, the last thing that burned near the town was a little shopping center close to the beach that been there for years (used to go there with my grandma a lot so it's quite special). Unfortunately, I've heard nothing about restoring. I hope for it to happen one day. It was such a nice structure, and had many lovely stores inside.
