Oh yeah NHL is death if u have to keep up with a regular schedule, I'd sometimes just go to work and put a match on as a background noice cos hockey.. Watching Panthers game is frustrating as heck and i've come close to just tossing my pc on the street many times

I AGREE, he does deserve that but sadly he has his beast moments at times but then hes just mostly steady. He should be more selfish to get things done tbh. It's always funny when people joke about how empty the panthers arena is.

Oof I can't imagine that frustration. Or.. I mean.. Avs had their fuck-up for about 2 months straight last season it was sickening, they went like 20 matches without wins and it was like you know what!! fuck!! stop! but they manage to salvage the remainder of the season and get the playoff spot.

I don't think the Finnish players have that kind of egoism as some of the American ones are able to, such as.. Matthews.. for instance. Even some of the Swedes, it's very much "I'm the star, me me and only me".

I hate Vegas, I just hate them so much.

Very underwhelming concept, people guessed like 2 years ago that they would be named Krakens and then they proceed to tease for two years about the name and settle on Krakens with one of the most bland concepts in the entire league

I used to not like Avs very much cos I was cheering for the Wilds but ehh Wilds is such a boring team so I dropped them and just dedicated my time to Panthers. Also I was mad cos Avs was just overall better team than the Wilds (as proven many times during first round of the playoffs lmao). I hate when teams go on losing streak, it's just maddening and frustrating.

Yeah, they're more teamwork than individual play. I dislike Matthews with passion omg.

BUT WHY what have they done other than succeed as an expansion team

I didn't have a specific team I liked before 2018 or so, and it just became Avs and now it just can't be anything else. There was just something with the fact that they had had such a horrible streak of seasons and suddenly turned things around with a bunch of incredibly talented young players, they seem to genuinely believe in the team and want to stay. I know Rantanen easily would have signed for less just to be there, and knowing that MacKinnon has said that he is willing to be paid less to ensure that good players can be signed.. I like that.

Yeah.. I don't like him. I don't like Toronto tho so I mean.. anything there is like nah no thanks fam. Hockey is and remains a team sport, it's just looking at the amazing thing Finland did last year when they beat all the stars with a bunch of people no one had even noticed.

I just started to get in on NHL when Barkov was drafted back in 2013 and I started watching the games when he started playing #loyalfinn. Yeah, Avs is pretty amazing team, I'm glad Rants is like thriving there and has such good linemates to play with. I really appreciate it when the players go for lesser money than they would get offered just cos they like their team and want to reach the Cup with their team, it just says a lot about what kind of a person the player is.

SAME Toronto is way overhyped gross, and I was surprised as well when we managed to wipe the floor at the Worlds. It was and will be one of the best Finnish hockey moments for sure.

That's true, I'm indifferent about Vegas. They are just there *shrug*. But yeah, Seattle will be interesting. Didn't they say the same about Vegas that it's going to flop but yet they got to playoffs on their first year

I think we got access to fancier sport channels back in 2017, before that my only source of hockey was the world championships and then I was forced to suffer through whatever the Norwegians meant was worth showing on TV, and the olympics.. oof.. and Norwegian "experts" claiming that Norway had a shot at beating Finland and my dad sitting there like excuse me what? because honestly Norway in hockey is like.. basically Finland in football. Or Norway in football.. Norway in anything but skis yikes.

Toronto be like: we spend half our money on 4 players .. and then they wonder why they don't win?? Because you can't have four stars and hope others will eventually become good and be willing to basically not be paid.. just look at Edmonton. How much do they pay of McDavid?? I mean sure he is incredibly good but is he worth like 1/5 of all the money they have?? arguably not.

I don't see how anyone will be able to be as successful as Vegas as an expansion team, there are a lot of very recent expansion teams which like.. still haven't been particularly impressive.

Im so so so so glad Finnish tv is biased with their own like sport stuff so we have access to hovkey and other sports whenever theres Finnish person attempting to succeed. Yeah uhh Finland in football is pretty much... nonexistant.... maybe we will get there someday in the future but ... yeah
