a friend of mine worked in a tourist agency once and some japanese tourists came to norway to see the northern lights but you couldn't see it at the time and the tourists asked her to TURN THEM ON

Yeah I think it's the same as midnight sun or at least very little sun during summer, I'm from Trøndelag so it's in theory very close to the polar circle compared to a lot of other areas in Europe.. obviously.
