I really wanted to buy a yucca palm again but it's a bright light plant and uhmm I live basically in the arctic so the winter is pitch dark and I don't want to make it suffer

Hmm maybe, I'm very interested in it so it hasn't really been an issue. And I get demotivated instantly if I feel stupid.. but it's alright. I've already gotten a bachelor's degree in it so two more years and I have a master's degree
