I think there should be a distinction between designer badges and people on the designer team, that way you can find items by designers you like in your wd easily as well as credit them on their creations.

there's a difference between need and what is preferred or ideal. we don't need 19 badged designers but it doesn't do any harm with that number.

as far as i know, the team is being more strict with enforcing the rules since the search for new designers not too long ago. the badged designers we have now are all relatively active. it's probably the most active group of designers this site has had in a long time.

I definitely remember the rule Lily mentioned being talked about a bit at one point now.
& keep up the good work. 
Definitely gained more respect for DT after knowing how much work coding can be sometimes

in this context it is actually relevant as the question was is it actually needed, i said no. i obviously had to explain what i meant as people don't get it.
