yea there's a LOT of really good anime with vampires, that's absolutely a subject matter that anime does well.

i am really enjoying my rewatch! i've only got 2 episodes left. i would like to read the manga again but  i remember it gets really confusing at the end

Blood Lad- (its less romance and more adventure but still interesting)

Vampire Hunter D- (more of a adventure/thriller and its a movie)

Diabolik Lovers- (I usually don't recommend this to people as like in vampire knight its so good yet so very bad however if you could look past that and watch Vampire knight this might still be something for you,  Its more of a unconventional romance thats a bit fucked up at times yet, the side characters are super interesting and mysterious plus the backstories are great.)

I remember reading up to a certain point as well (or at least to the part where they kind of caught up in the anime)

but then gave up
