It looks very messy, I love the leaves of the golden pothos and the green colour but the variegation.. oof.

I really really prefer the regular monstera deliciosa. I've grown up with it so I'm biased.. the same goes for the tropic snow so .. yeah.. lol.

Idk I really like the ficus benjamina.. but I also grew up with them so I mean.. bias there as well. I'd love to have one but it is a bitchy tree imo and it's like lol I want to drop leaves and I high key do not like picking up leaves as a top 3 hobby lmao.

@Alam
I can see what you mean and it bothers me a lot with certain plants but this one I really like.
Interesting; I tend to find plants I grew up with really boring: For instance; my mum always has a bunch of spider plants around the house and the garden so those are, like, the least interesting plants to me. @Snusmumrikken
Damn, this thread took off while I was gone.
That's fair. It is interesting how different plants appeal to different people. For instance, I do not like succulents at all and they are very popular.
Idk I'm very sensitive so I'm careful when I get plants so I don't bring in anything that will irritate my eyes, skin or lungs - I know that the plants I grew up with are safe and I also like them.. often but not always. I have the ones I like minus the ficus benjamina.

Hahaha yeyah it did
MAn, me neither, they are, again, super boring to me. I have a few but they're mostly to fill space, I'll probably have to give them to my mum eventually to make room for better plants.
That sucks but at least you have ones you like.

I just planted some plants I've been propagating, they've only been propagating for a week, more or less, but they rooted so quickly. I don't know what they are but they're pretty cool looking, I put them outside my window because I think they're meant to go outside so they probably need some nice sun action. Here's a picture feat. my neighbours' lovely and blurry balcony/garden thing:

I think maybe the snake plant is considered a succulent but it isn't like the other succulents if you get me?
Also I have a strong preference for green plants, and succulents are often like purple and stuff like that, which is in general a colour I do not usually use in my home - only exception being moomin mugs lmao.
I still want to buy more plants but I won't actively look for more plants now.

Fair. I've got two plants with purple-ish backs (My begonia maculata and my calathea ornata) and I like them? But they're definitely not my favorites of the ones I have. I don't think it's because of the red-ish purple backs, I think I don't like the begonia as much because it's big and a bit leggy. As for the calathea, I don't know, I like it a lot, it's just not my favorite.

Update, I think they were getting too much sun and they boiled (?) in the heat, I took them inside but they look very unhappy, I don't know if they'll survive...

Hmm interesting. I like some calatheas but they are very fussy plants and certainly not something you have if you know you are away for extended periods of time several times a year. @Alam

I heard they're really fussy from multiple people but mine is doing great so far, it even has two new leaves unfurling. Cross my fingers it'll stay that way.

Maybe an hour and a half, two hours? I don't know, maybe I watered them too much? Or not enough? Here's what they look like right now, they're all droopy and sad.

Hmm maybe you live in more suitable conditions, I certainly can not have one. The one I bought need to be watered thoroughly at least once a week, that's just not going to happen if I leave for my hometown. And it straight up tries to die on you if you water it too late then it's like sorry it's already too late I'm wilting goodbye
