yea kiki has better pacing. honestly every other miyazaki movie has better pacing, totoro is absolutely the slowest. i'm for sure gonna show my kids totoro when i have kid.

it was really exciting too to see a shinkai movie on a big screen. his work has literally always been so so beautiful. i bought the dvd of Voices of a Distant star a long long time ago and it's got his student film on it- i mean his work has just always been so so visually wonderful. deserving of being seen on a bigger screen

This was my second movie of his that I saw in cinema as I also went and watched your name even tho I had seen it before online but I just loved it so much.
And yes it's amazing! His style is one of the best in anime!
