Yeah, to me it feels doable as well since I don't read as intensely as I did earlier.
your 2015-16 reading goal, sure is impressive, i could never.
It was truly my best years. I read every day. I only failed 2015 because I decided to pick up a 800 page book two weeks before New Year, lmaof I didn't stand a chance.
800 pages? would you pick up that long of a book today? i feel like i would hit a slum if i did.

I don't think I would pick up such a long book today. I was thinking about it the other day, and I realized that I prefer shorter books at the moment (~300-400 pages).

300-400 usually is also managable, given the book ain't boring and slow phased ofcause.

@metalcutesolid I'm curious what kind of books you like to read, if you wanna share! 💃🏻😊
i just recently started reading this september!! i was never into reading as a kid bc of my adhd but i got really into it recently!! i have a tbr of almost 200 books now c:

so far i've read:

things have gotten worse since we last spoke
tender is the flesh
the shadows between us
wilder girls

so mostly spooky books for spooky season but been wanting to get into more contemporary and fantasy!
The cover of the first one looks morbid, omg.

I hope you will continue to enjoy it! Reading is a newer interest of mine too, mostly one i took up this year! haha
it was pretty disturbing but i like that stuff!! it would have been a 5 star read for me but it felt kind of "gay people can't be happy" tropey if that makes sense?? so i deducted a star

can i ask why you didn't read as a child or when you were younger? and what made you take up reading? a friend / booktube / booktok? <3

I think it's stephen king, i heard should be really good at scary books (correct me if im wrong somebody). Idk if you have any of his on your tbr already thought! I have one i wanna read, just because i wanna see if it's a genre i wanna dive into. I'm personally not very good with the paranormal and all that gorey stuff.

I have always had a very hard time concentrating and somehow assumed that no plot good enough, would get me to read. Honestly i took up a lot of hobbies in the whole pandemic and this was pretty much one of them. I had a friend suggest me a couple books and i went from there! 😊

I listened to the audiobook this time which is never as good as reading the book; I liked it but it felt a bit dragged out here and there. Totally some twist and turns and a cliffhanger. I thought it was gonna be a duology but now I assume it will be a trilogy.

I think what made me love book 1 more was the introduction to the universe and being new and enchanted by it. It didn't offer as much new now so the book has a sorta different feel

Ye it had more character growth and building on other aspects of the books, things that was more just introduced in the first and then forgotten to a more urgent plot... Also omg the main character she's soo like attitude in the audiobook, bc i didn't read her as such in the first book lmaoo
