2 me it seems like the democrats were too intent on distancing themselves from 'the radical left' n simply relying on the fact that biden wasnt trump and therefore an automatic winner n that was a BAD MOVE. that was not gonna capture the imaginations of the ppl who vote trump. In reality, ppl are actually deeply deeply dissatisfied w the current establishment n the political climate n w the state of the fucking world in general + biden represents that establishment. people actually want change.......Like idk universal healthcare during a pandemic or decent wages, polls r showing that they want these things. An interesting point....... florida voted for trump AND for a $15 minimum wage . what does this suggest....... tht the same ppl who vote for trump actually like a lot progressive policies like higher minimum wages??? i.e. leftist policies ? im sorry but where is the trump-esque canditate w socialist policies lol i feel like that would really b something
americans are genuinely afraid o socialism. theres a reason bernie didnt win either time.
they like the policies when you talk about them one on one but they dont like a candidate that identifies as being on the left. they dont equate the individual policy with the general ideology.
honestly tbh i forgot abt bernie LOL but i do think he would have ?? potentially done better than biden? i dno enough abt this to actually mean that though lol
but yeah, not just americans the same thing is happening in the uk right now like that is why corbyn failed n his name has been completely TARNISHED its heartbreaking in my opinion...how to undo the brainwashing ??????? Anti socialist thinking is SOOO deeply ingrained in ppl i find it genuinely absolutely horrifying
no. i think the guy more likely to win is the guy that won. i think we all have this reallly wishful thinking that bernie would have done btter but i think its just that its wishful thinking by people who underestimate how much boomers hate socialism.
