Though there was an accident today?
Very unfortunate I hope that guy is alright
Well it was the major one that is among the absolute worst crash in F1 history, commentators of many broadcasts said it's the worst they've seen as commentators, the Norwegian one had commentated on F1 since 1997 and nothing has been like that. I've seen a few crashes before, some of them lethal, this was just.. I sat watching it anxiously fearing that he had died, I was sure he had because it was just.. Thinking about it fills my eyes with tears like it's like taken out of a bad car movie, they never explode like that. Once they showed footage of him being alive and seemingly escaping only with minor injuries left me crying for a long time.
I don't know if there has been any updates other than the one about him having minor burns on his arms and legs, I will be surprised if that's everything. I suppose this was the end to his F1 career as he's out of the team after this season and only 2 races left, next one being on Sunday and I can't see him recovering from this fast enough to participate, and the Abu Dhabi one is mid-December I believe, which I also think might be too close to today for him to have recovered, and that's ignoring any mental aspect of it. Grosjean has crashed brutally before, but never like this. This was unreal.
There was two? other incidents in the race but nothing as serious as this, without counting the marshal who ran across the track to extinguish Perez' car which they are
never supposed to do and he could have been ran over by Lando and no.. just bad. bad bad.
oh god this is so heartbreaking to hear...
