I listened to the audiobook this time which is never as good as reading the book; I liked it but it felt a bit dragged out here and there. Totally some twist and turns and a cliffhanger. I thought it was gonna be a duology but now I assume it will be a trilogy.

I think what made me love book 1 more was the introduction to the universe and being new and enchanted by it. It didn't offer as much new now so the book has a sorta different feel
ohh yes that makes sense about not being offered much new world building
Ye it had more character growth and building on other aspects of the books, things that was more just introduced in the first and then forgotten to a more urgent plot... Also omg the main character she's soo like attitude in the audiobook, bc i didn't read her as such in the first book lmaoo
The main character was my big issue with the first book lmaoo I found her so attitude-y

My nice book marks are to fragile and get bend in my bag, but im afraid that metal like book marks might scuff up the pages of my books. It's making me insane, because i can't get my hands on ugly book marks i don't mind bend.

she probably was but i didn't rly pick up on it before the audiobook lmao i think the attitude to a degree is explainable by the setting itself tho

Oh! Same same. Obsessed with these two!
Heard of Lore Olympus, but never Neon Gods and Touch of Darkness.

As of lately I've been reading The Witch's Heart on and off.
It starts off boring at first but gets better/interesting as you continue.
For my next read it's between American Gods or The Strange Case  of the Alchemists Daughter.

Lore Olympus is a web-comic (free to read on Webtoon (app) if you want to!) The other two are adult retellings so they are on the spicy side hehe

I remember reading a bit of it but for some reason stopped.
Lol, don't mind that. Just read the summery for Touch of Darkness, and it sounds really good.

I've 150 pages left in Namesake. I think this duology will get an overall 3\5 rating when I'm done.
