Did you have any favourite episode, or any favourite book?
I don’t remember any specific episodes or books since it’s so long ago, which is very sad. Especially since I went my kindergarten years in a moomin kindergarten too /:

But I remember being more afraid of the wizard than hufsa
A moomin kindergarten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

The Hobgoblin or??
Oooof yes, that guy (only know the Norwegian names lol)

the kindergarten was in Oslo. But a few years back they decided that no cosy amazing kindergarten was good enough and tore it down and build a new one there. Looking like a hospital.
it’s so sad. I have only seen the pictures of the new one and they have nothing like we did back in the days.. we had such big playground and an amazing building </3

I both watched and read Moomin growing up, and it definitely was a part of my childhood. However, I couldn't tell you my favourite scene, book or even character since I don't really remember... I can name all the characters, but I can't remember their personalities or things they did

My dad sometimes called me Snorkmaiden when I was younger, and I have no idea whether that was cute.. or an insult
Before I started getting more into it again in my late teens, the only thing I remembered was that Little My was angry, Snufkin was calm, and Sniff was a dirty capitalist coward and I hated him a lot. Lmao.

I'd take it as an insult, my dad used to call me one of the characters sometimes but I don't want to share which one lmao, it was certainly not Snufkin.

What's the price in norway?
I think the price that is largely agreed on is equal to approx. 20 euros. They cost 200 NOK in Norway, which in normal times would be about 20 Euros, +/-. The special mugs are often 25e, so 250 NOK. I bought my Moomin valley mug in that store in Tivoli and it cost about 170 DKK if I remember correctly, and 250 NOK in Norway, but perhaps the valuta rate is that intense?
Well 1dkk is 1.5nok so, i think u would have bought it around  the 250nok
Perhaps, I think I did the maths before and at that day it was 220 NOK or whatever, I'm not sure. I'm glad I bought it there because it gives the mug an additional story, you know.

How old are we speaking? I know that for most countries, the 90s anime is available in English on youtube for free.

I think the anime is very adjusted so it is more fitting in Japan and in general for children that aren't Nordic ngl lmao

omg

Good to know.. I had to read up a bit on Moomin now to try to figure out why he called me that, but now I'm honestly just so confused. I thought Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden were siblings, and the chidren of mumimamma og mumipappa, but apparently not??? I'm like... what?

I wish they changed the Norwegian dubbing because it's very unsettling how the characters changes voice 4-5 times throughout the first 50 episodes

Speaking of weird, though, Mymble, Little My and Snufkin are siblings.
