oh can someone explain to me the geographic significance in american politics btw? fascinating to look at the map, blue border and red in the middle haha
here goes my best crapshoot of info
think agriculture, farming land of America, small towns typically pretty conservative. that's middle America. the country. the big cluster of red you see in the middle, imo those are people voting against their best interests
then you have the big states with big cities, California, NY, IL, WA typically all on the coast and lean blue
the midwest is pretty split, my state is midwest but we lean blue, then you have states like Iowa and michigan, both midwest but they have smaller towns that are filled with crazies wanting to kidnap and conspire against the state governor (also red leaning)
the midwest states leanings are very rural vs urban imo.
