YES!
I wish this should be completely free in my counry. We have public schools but we also have private schools and the educations, teachers and structure on each them are completely diffrent.
As a teacher most of my students want to apply for a public university because they dont have money o apply for a private university.
But thats a complex situation, people who study in a private school the whole life have much more chances to pass the exam to a public university. In theory the structure and education on private and public schools should be equal but this isnt what happens in practice.
In the final, people who dont have conditions o study on a private school need to study much more to pass to a university.
Its sad because I saw a lo of children giving up to study do work and helps the family so many never gonna be able to finish their studies and enter a university

I think there's arguments for both cases, although I strongly agree with primary, bach, and can being free in Denmark, and only masters costing money. Technically we all pay for the education through taxes, hence why we can actually afford to make it free for everyone. I do, however, believe the education system would be better if it was private. If you get something for "free", that thing being of the best quality usually doesn't really matter. If you pay for it yourself, you want that thing to be the best it can be.
I'd say there's a lot of problems with government-run schools, but so many more with private schools. And that's at all levels of schooling

I wish uni was free bc we pay all these fees and n the case of my course i still have to spend so much beyond that. Its only been 2 months and my course has cust me over £100 with buying fabrics, art supplies, buttons, printing etc and itll only cost more as time goes on sad

This is esp hard for me because I am an estranged student. I get no support from my parents. Sometimes i get money from my aunt and uncle but thats when i need to feed myself. If it wasnt for them i wouldnt be at uni bc i was expected to pay the £300 deposit within a week when my benefits at the time only gave me £251 a month :/ the uni experience in this aspect for me has been really difficult

I`m satisfied as it is now in Latvia. Schools are free (if You not choose private school), in universities - some budget places. I alvays studied free. Chemists had about 50 budget places in baccalaureate and ~same in master`s studies
