aaa yes I am!! I love his movies. the ones that stuck with most are audition (eugh im getting the creeps thinking about it lmfao), chakushin ari (1 missed call) and lessons of evil (I wouldnt say this one was particularly good I just really enjoyed how fucking crazy it was)

I love that he can pull off so many different directorial styles

yess please watch them and lmk if you like. j-horrors really focus on building tension and there's almost never jump scares. they're unsettling! 

western horrors can be fun but jump scares bore me

Very good words right here!! Personal fave for me is definitely koroshiya ichi tho, as well as visitor q (just cus it’s the weirdest movie I’ve ever seen lol I don’t wanna rewatch it)

Japanese horror is definitely the best horror, it’s brutal and weird and I love it hehehe
