I've had an ongoing project ranking all the songs each year from 1956 and up until today but it got a .. yeah.. lengthy break
Omg, that's so cool. I've barely heard any of the songs that were in the contest before I started watching (2010).
2001 is the ultimate guilty pleasure year imo
Which song is the best one that year?

I totally understand your standpoint, I just tend to not really care about anything regarding politics. Which is bad, I know, but like uhh

Well I.. that's extremely hard. I think I've put Greece as the winner there, but it could also be France, Russia or Denmark

obviously Estonia shouldn't have won in 2001, should've won in 2009

I'm still salty that 2017 Bulgaria didn't win. xD
I'm saltier about Italy 2015, heck if I'm really in that mood I might cry over it
Hahaha, omg. You're really invested in this. Australia should've won 2016. Or Bulgaria, I love that song.

The Palestine issue is a big factor here, however, I'd ignore that point if I thought the song had been worthy the win, which it imo really wasn't. I found the win to be a bit shady, and I ranked Israel at 42nd place only above UK, which is kind of a tie but I don't tie songs so .. yeah. I just can't. I also don't think Israel have anything to do in the competition, not necessarily because of geography but simply because there isn't any other Middle-East countries in the competition and I don't think they'd let anyone join so it's problematic to me.
Ah, I see. I liked the song, it was one of my favourites, so I was glad one of the right songs won for once.
You can't get your will each year I guess, I almost boycotted 2013 because I hated Euphoria
Haha, omg. I love that Eurovision was in Malmö that year. I actually performed at Eurovision village.

I think it's fine-ish, but if they ever launch Eurovision Asia I'd rather have them there, it makes more sense time-zone wise. And as long as they don't get too much undeserved points (glares at the juries), it's okay
