Sansevierias are also kind of boring to me, there are some growing in my street and I'm constantly fighting the urge to steal a cutting and propagate it but I know I only want to do that because foraging and propagating plants is fun. Zz plants are cool but they're also kind of boring to me? I don't know, I like plants that are exciting, with spots and holes and variegation and colour.
Well I get that. but they certainly do not grow in Norway lmao
They don't grow in Israel either, at least they're not native to Israel. That being said, neither are Eucalyptus trees, sabra cacti and certain pine trees that come from Europe but they still grow here. They just plant sansevieria in planters here to make streets look nice, along with a bunch of other plants, of course.
they'd straight up die here so it's not point having them outside lol, but i like their patterns and lol they do be easy

Do any of y'all propagate plants? I find it super fun, I don't know why.
I did actually successfully propagate from my dieffenbachia tropic snow

I was shocked because as you might be able to see it was cut in an unfortunate place so I basically screwed up a leaf that was about to grow right, but somehow it managed to become a normal leaf anyway? it would have been the top of the other leaf?? i don't know.. which looks honestly hilarious because the other part of the leaf grew out on the other plant it's absurd i can't even
Ohh cool! Did you propagate it in water first? All of my propagating plants are propagating in water.
Most of mine are from friends, I have a philodendron brazil, some silver pothos, as aforementioned, a mystery philodendron looking plant, a hoya carnosa, my mystery aglaonema and a cutting of my begonia maculata wightii.

Yeah, the climate here is nice and humid which is terrible for humans but great for plants so they thrive here. Sansevieria trifasciata is kind of cool but kind of boring at the same time, I don't know. I really like sansevieria bantel's sensation, they're really cool.

atm i only have a monstera, i'd like to get a snake plant, golden pothos, spider plant, rubber plant, bird of paradise, fiddle leaf fig tree and a parlour palm, but seeing as i'm already killing the one plant that i have, i probably shouldn't.

Nope this is a pure soil propagation, I did one in water too but I'm not completely like sure it will survive the transition to soil yet but if it does.. I'll know the next time I visit my mother in September I reckon.. So far it looks okay. I've never tried propagation before but my mother really wanted one so I was like.. the plant is too leafy anyway so why not give it a shot.

Ooh nice

i'm irresponsible and forget to take care of it, hence why i shouldn't buy more plants even though my room would look so cute

I think it's really a dad thing. I mean, my mum is more into plants than my dad but all of my gransd are really into plants, especially my grandad, though my other grandad was also very much into plants, I mean, he was a farmer/agriculturist/plant working person? I don't know what it's called in english oop.
