i know that
i used to work in retail and now i work in the elderly care sooooo

but like at least now i choose my own work hours pretty much
i mean it's not as safe economically but it's what i have time for and i take student loans as well so i get by

i loved retail when i was working in a really small store owned by my grandparents, but when i started working at a bigger store closer to home i really started hating it

the elderly care isn't that bad, at least not where i work
sure, it's a bit stressful, but it's nothing you can't handle. most of the old people are really nice and also grateful for the help they're receiving (many comparing it to when their grandparents and parents were their age and had to move to an old peoples home where they basically got a bed and had to share rooms, while nowadays old people still get to stay in their own homes receiving care from nurses and other staff that comes to THEM so there's a difference)
