Pride Week: Likes and Dislikes?
TheWayfaringStranger
Queen of Queens

Pride week isn't over yet, but I'd like to start gathering some ideas of what y'all have liked and disliked. This will help for planning next year's event.

1. So, three favorite things about pride week?

2. Three things you didn't like about pride week?

3. Two things you'd like to see in next year's pride week? Feel free to give as many ideas as you'd like.

Thank you!

I haven't participated much so I can't name much useful for the 1st two but here are some ideas (i posted in the other thread too)

More article ideas:
Erasing gender from clothing
Pride around the world
Bi-erasure
Lesbianism and how butch lesbians vs femme lesbians and those inbetween or outside of those stereotypes are perceived
Charities that help LGBTQ+ folk (Think mental health, binders, transitioning etc)
Ideas about gender from the past that people may not know about  (Think Twospirit, Hijra and the Greek goddess Cybele)
Aromantic and asexual identities
Stonewall
LGBTQ+ artists
Small paragraphs from users describing their own identities and what pride means to them

And as said above, a flag hunt would be a nice way to teach ppl pride flags and also allow people to display their pride flag on their popstar if a code is supplied with each one u find  (like the diamonds we have, but a lil flag instead!)

maybe communications with an admin (if possible. lol. this is Virtual Popstar after all....) about a pride theme for the forum

the sets in the codes being the colors of lgbtq+ flags
the dress up comps, esp the second one
and the highlight and info about famous lgbtq+ supporters and such on the social media accs

the choice of celebrities to highlight; maybe do a more thorough background check?
the lack of eventfulness; ideas to combat this below
cant really think of anything else besides the yaoi/yuri thing but i know that wasn't a planned part of the event so i'm not gonna count it

small things happening daily, like forum discussions about how people realized their sexuality or their best memory of something lgbtq+ related, etc, and maybe make a survey to find out how many people belong to the different sexualities or something like that? interviews with lbgtq+ members... there are lots of small stuff that could be done without too much effort

Stonewall is included in the history of drag article :3
The paragraphs from users was written about in a BT article
And something is being planned to educate people about flags

But I do love all of your ideas. I don't mean to state them above to be rude just to mention that you didn't know what had and hadn't occured :3
