So one of the days while they were at school I decided to tidy and clean all the main areas of their apartment, cause that had definitely not been their first priority. The only bump in the road for the surprise was that they called me in the middle of the day and asked me to come to their school, so I then had to pretend that I was busy writing an essay, haha! I also bought a wooden tray, some scented candles and a little Christmas decoration to put on their coffee table, and a big "julestjerne" ("Christmas star", a flower) that I put on their dining table with a card for each of them... that said that the proper Christmas cards are coming, wups. I then went to meet them in the city and we ate out before we went home for them to see their surprise. The surprise went really well and they loved it... but now I just have to actually write the cards, which will take a while cause I like to write five page deep conversations in the Christmas cards to my friends.

Coming up with surprises like this for my friends just makes me so happy, and I think it's easy to find nice presents for friends. Family on the other hand, that's a struggle.
