FT: Unsolved crimes

On of my favorite topics to discuss are unsolved crimes. 

There's been a lot recently in Scandinavia (Emile Meng etc.) along with a lot from Sweden, that had similarities to the Kim Wall case (that thankfully was solved)  Even the recently case in Norway with the disappearance  of Anne - elisabeth Hagen .

How does it make you feel? Is there just one case that really struck you/disturbed you a lot?
And has any disappearances/kidnappings had any impact on your life, in your region?
Do you feel scared by these things?

Totally agree, this case of Madeleine was the most horrifying for me such a lovely girl, I watch so many documentaries but no clues and so weird the way she dissapeared.

I'm always sad when I read or watch news about disappearances, and a little bit afraid to be honest is like you aren't safe even when you think nothing is going to happen to you.

Totally agree, this case of Madeleine was the most horrifying for me such a lovely girl, I watch so many documentaries but no clues and so weird the way she dissapeared.

Has some cases sat a warning signal in you? Are you more observant to your surroundings due to this?

Yeah... The whole story is so sad. I hope that she's okay and she'll be found one day. I also remember some cases where other children/young people have been kidnapped but they've eventually escaped or otherwise been found. I hope that same happens to Madeleine one day... Her parents deserve to know what happened to her

At least the parents should have some peace at last. i cannot imagine missing a child/someone you hold dear.
The Madeleine case was very odd, since they left her sister.

I don't see it as unlikely, furthermore, a lot of cases with people disappearing like that might be related to family. I think the parents of Madeleine McCann are guilty, idk how but they are. There's no doubt in the world that the parents of JonBenét Ramsey are guilty (she didn't disappear tho.. i think?) but yeah

JonBénet was a tragic case. It was never found out what happened, but i do agree to it being fishy - especially her parents.
There were speculations that it was her brother who did (she was found dead in their basement) since he was jealous of her. 
But yes, family tension can be hard - I believe Fitz, the father who kidnapped and raped his own daughter held her captive for years.
