As some of you may have heard, a few days ago Rick Riordan confirmed on Twitter that Disney had green-lit a TV adaptation of the beloved children's series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The plan is that each book will be a season, with the first season being book 1 and releasing on Disney+. Riordan will also be an integral part in the making of the series.
As someone who grew up obsessed with the series, I was extremely disappointed by the movies, so this news made me super excited (albeit a bit hesitant about it).
Are there any other PJO fans excited about the news? Did you grow up reading the books, and will you be watching the series when it comes out? What do you think of TV adaptations in general? Which medium do you think best suits PJO, or any kids book in general (bonus points if you've heard of the musical)?
