I don't know where you're from, but in many countries there are hate crime laws that serve as a kind of counterweight to freedom of speech, what are your opinions on that?

I think yes u should be able to express yourself and your opinion, IF it is not hurtful and it constructive rather than degrading. Which i don't think the sentence really invites u to*.

I think that they are very important, but since it's very hard to get convicted for them (atleast where I live) I believe they might not be enough? On the other hand, maybe the liberals are right (lol). Maybe the existence of the debate, and everyones ability to call people out as idiots are a good climate for discussion. Maybe it results in lesser "one question parties" who only want to go against the system who might seem corrupt if there isn't freedom of speech like it is today. I don't know. I'm just a phonie.

They had modified a legit shared thing from a discussion to being about sami people and the thing stated there was just so incredibly wild and horrible I was like yeah freedom of speech is not it if it's okay saying things like that. 
I've read the actual statement too and it's just.. bad on all possible levels.
