For this first thread of mine I wanted to bring a very positive message forward & talk about something I find extremely important & at times difficult :

How we think and feel about ourselves has immense impact on us - and a healthy body image & good self-esteem are big parts of overall well-being.
It is very important that we take good care of ourselves & so I just want to tell each and every one of you in case you might be struggling to tell yourselves:
You are perfect. You are wonderful, great, talented and gorgeous just the way you are. Sure,
there might be room for improvement - but at the very core you are great. Your body is yours & yours alone and the shape, size or look of it does not diminish your worth. You are worthy and deserving of love, respect and care. But you need to love, respect and care for yourself as well! Once you do that, working on that healthy body image will be so much easier.
Here are three good ways to encourage a healthier body image:
Dress in clothes that make you feel comfortable in sizes that fit you
Notice when you judge yourself or others based on weight, shape, size - ask yourself if there is any other quality that might be a better focus
Come up with a short message or mantra & hang it somewhere or write it on a mirror as a reminder to replace those negative thoughts with positive thoughts
To wrap things up I wanna ask you guys a question: what is a way you ensure a positive body image? I thought maybe someone has some nice methods. I personally like to just give myself little winks in the mirror even if I may not be feeling on top.
