Welcome to the small, picturesque town of Eldham. You live here or maybe you are just travelling through, but in either case you are unaware of the horror that will soon take place, as a werewolf has just moved to the town. It is now your job to find and kill it, before it can kill the entire town!
Rules (If you are familiar with Town of Salem you can just skim or skip this as it is very similar)
Every participant is assigned a role that has a special agenda: as a villager, hunt down the werewolves; as a werewolf, convince the other villagers that you are innocent, while secretly attacking those same villagers each night. Special roles help both the villagers and the werewolves achieve their goals (it will be clear which team you are on).
Before the game starts you will be told your role. You are the only one who knows. You are allowed to reveal your role, but be aware that everyone can lie (and that lying about it is completely okay!).
The game has two phases: night and day. Each night, the gamemaster (in this case me) will 'wake' (write to) the roles that are active at night, asking who you want to do something to. When every night role has been activated, the town will wake. In order to kill the evil players the villagers will choose one person to send to a trial and lynch each day. The villagers will discuss this and then accuse someone who has to defend themselves, before the village votes 'guilty' or 'not guilty'
The game ends when the villagers has killed the werewolf, or if there are no villagers left.
It is the most fun when people rp while doing this, eg. 'I saw some blood and claw marks on his house, so he must be a werewolf".
Roles
Evil: (win with the werewolves)
Werewolf
Each night you decide whom to kill. You win if all villagers are dead.
Wolf Cub:
If you die, the werewolves get two kills the following night. You win with the werewolves.
Cursed:
You are a villager until attacked by werewolves, at which time you become a werewolf. You win with the werewolves.
Neutral:
Doppelgänger:
Select a player the first night. If that player dies, you secretly take that role. You win with your new team
Tanner:
You hate your life so much that you want to die. You only win if you are killed.
Good (win with the villagers):
Villager:
Find the werewolves and lynch them. You win when all evil roles are dead.
Hunter:
If you are killed, take someone down with you.
Seer: Each night, you choose a player and are told their alignment: Either on the villager team, or a werewolf.
Tough Guy:
You survive an extra day if attacked by werewolves at night.
Witch:
You have two portions, one that can kill and one that can heal. You can only use each once.
Cupid
Choose two players to be lovers. If one of those players dies, the other dies from a broken heart. After this you are a normal villager.
Special:
Mayor:
You are mayor of this town, so your votes count twice. The mayor is an extra role and is chosen in the beginning of the game. When the mayor dies, there will be held a new election.
