Hi everyone!
First, happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadian users! Love having a Monday off. I wish it were a Tuesday, because honestly, I've always argued that Tuesdays are the worst/most boring days of the week. On Monday you're fresh from the weekend even though you're back to work, Wednesday is halfway through the week, Thursday is almost Friday, Friday is Friday, and the weekend is the weekend. Although Sunday is also kind of not great because you're dreading Monday, but whatever. Not important at the moment.
I wish I had better news to give! After a LOT of contemplation and quite a lengthy discussion, both @lainĀ and I will be stepping down as Admin.Ā BothĀ of our personal lives are getting a lot busier and a lot more hectic. While we both really enjoyed our time as admin, we can both recognize that we no longer have the time needed to dedicate to Virtual Popstar that it deserves. I speak for both of us when I say we absolutely love this website, our history with it, and the community we have gotten/get to share our time with.
With that comes the desire to have the website be looked after and wanting the best for it's future; we would love to see some fresh new faces take over. In the next few days, we will put up applications for two new admin positions to fill our vacancies. Please keep in mind that we will be looking for people who show that they care and can be dedicated to serving the people of VP. It's not the most glamorous role and as such, it's one that deserves people who are in it for the love of the game.
Whew, lots to get off the chest and tons of bittersweet emotions, but we'll still be around for a bit. Can't wait to see where this next era of VP takes us.
