I definitely liked the designing competition the best. The appreciation thread was also really cute.
Regarding feedback I have quite a lot to say, and I'll probably forget some of it I edited this post a million times, I'm sorry. It's also just as much a general thing, but I've especially noticed it during this week (actually writing with capital letters and proper grammar for once, can you believe it). First and foremost I'd like to stress that I really appreciate the event team and everything they do, because I'm really scared I'll come across as ungrateful. I hope no one is going to misunderstand me, but since feedback is being asked for, I figured this would be an obvious opportunity to get my thoughts across.
I personally think it's a shame that almost all of the outfits this week has been given out through competitions. Sure, competitions and games are fun, but the whole idea behind this event in particular was to celebrate the male avatars and bring more attention to them, spoil them with a bit more clothing than normal etc. I think it's a shame half the sets are being used as competition prizes, because then the majority of us won't be able to enjoy them anyways. If you're gonna use sets as competition prizes, I personally think more copies should've been given out. The chance of winning is very small, yet alone the possibility to buy the outfits afterwards because so few people have them and no one is willing to sell (which of course is understandable but still frustrating for those who will probably never get them). I know you can't have everything, but so many great outfits are being restricted to these few 3-7 people, where around half of them are side accounts of ET members. I'm not opposed to the team members getting rewarded with their used outfits at all, I just think it's a shame that only 3-4 of our "normal" users have the chance to get them. Yes, some outfits have to be more rare than others, but it's taking the fun out of it when they're almost impossible to get. We haven't had a single shop update this whole week, and to be honest I expected that. I know that some of us play to get our hands on all the rare stuff, but at least I feel like the majority actually just want some pretty pixels so that they can play around with different outfits and so on - they don't care how many copies there exists of the said items. At least that's my impression, and I know that's how I feel. I just want the stuff I think is cool, and unfortunately that often happens to be the stuff with less than ten copies in game and no willing sellers even though I have plenty of credits to offer.
I'm sorry if this just sounds like a shitload of complaining, I just thought it's an important matter to discuss and a valid point to bring up. It isn't directed at the event team in any way, because I have no doubt that they're doing their absolute best. I just figured this would be an ideal place to bring it up.
The reason the designing competition was undoubtedly my favorite is because everyone who participate win. It's not really a competition by definition, but you still have to provide something to get the prize, you won't just get it handed to you for free. I think it creates an all around great atmosphere between the participants, because they don't see eachother as opponents.
