I was close!! -ish. Shit is actually my favourite swear word, so it's fun to know it in different languages...

same. I loved it but my school had problems with french teachers and I had about a year and a half of being taught by people who only knew the word "bonjour" was french. Needless to say, I failed it and it actually really upset me.
If I go to Uni though, the one I want to go to offers learning a second language and French is an option - it'd be between French, Japanese or Mandarin.

Ah, I had amazing teacher that taught me French. I managed to pass French with a 8,7 average and I'm thinking of studying something that requires me to study French or German besides English so I'll most likely stick with French.

ahh you're so lucky. I did for the first couple of years, and it helped that she was my form tutor, but then she got sick and was in and out of hospital (it isn't her fault, it's the school's fault for being so shit (merde ...) and under prepared).
Yeah I'm probably going to choose French if I go because my friends all pointed out that I have a love of more of the french culture & music etc. Though I worry a little that it wouldn't open as many doors as the other languages would :/

I learnt most of my English from gSm actually don't think a French VP would hurt now actually

As a native speaker, I've never found websites like gsm or anything that would be good for foreign languages/the ones I'm interested in. I am interested in Dutch but I think I'd be way of out my league on the Dutch VP. True but as Jud said, it's probably too much work for them to do & they'd need people who speak French to help run the site as they most likely don't : (

haha glad it's not just me. I had friends who used to be obsessed with them and I was just like ... o.o how? there's no pretty clothes ;-;
awesome. as I mentioned earlier, I've considered it with the Dutch server but my Dutch is even poorer than my English and I'd be waaay out of my league haha.
