On other websites, unsure as I used to pay for Stardoll + GSM a lot cause you could pay with phone credit. I also paid for habbo and other games every now and then. So over the years, it's probably around £100+ but that's over the span of about a decade. 

I don't think it's a waste if it makes you happy and you can afford it. I don't see any point in going without food or something cause of online games though
