There's no guidelines on it tho on what is allowed and not on VP cause technically you could classify quite a bit as copyright infringement. It does go more in depth if you think about it across the board. :/
For me personally I feel like the medium is important. 
Doing something with digital art as a print is too close to the actual digital art itself but doing someone's design as in clothing is taking that thing and doing it in another medium. (pixel art/digital art) and that's okay.
but it's all a matter of opinion. Art copyright is kind of tricky?
