I always think "aaah, I'll take a nap" - wake up three hours later to find everything's changed cause the fire nation attacked  and that I've missed like 3 events and 7 codes. 
I'd still choose to nap though.

it's a reference to Avatar The Last Airbender :3 there was a time when a lot of memes went around about the fire nation bit as it's in the opening sequence of the show.

My main complaint is it distracts from the purpose of SMT. It was initially created to help promote VP and to draw in new users, whereas I feel like codes only attract current users. 
Also SMT shouldn't have to use codes to get people to look at their pages? 

(like I said before... this is a comment on how SMT used to be.. I don't have a problem with SMT at the moment)
