Questions about Teams.

1. I really don't know, cos on one hand it would be nice to have a larger variety of people on teams, but on the other hand it wouldn't be fair to limit a person just because their good, allowing them to be suitable for multiple teams. Maybe 3 teams max (not including promotion team)?

2. Again, I'm not sure, some probably spend more time than others due to personal reasons and work and stuff. I would say maybe 3-4 hours a day, depending on their own schedule too I guess.

3. Well, not really, but what exactly does the promotion team stand to gain besides a badge for a month? Just wondering

4. Oh I guess the question for no. 3 should come here oops
I think the badge in itself is the reward. Promotion team members have brought 10+ people to the site, so they receive the badge as a reward.

ohhh thanks! I just thought that the promotion team would also be involved in hosting some comps or small events (like publicity events for vp maybe?)

nope! they aren't really a team in the same sense as the others.

1. Do you think there should be a limit to the number of teams a person is on? If so, what do you think that number should be? - i don't think there should be limits but people could still aim to be only on one or two teams unless they're particularly good in everything that teams do
2. On average, how much time do you think each of the teams spends on doing team related activities? - no idea, but i don't think they waste several hours a week (except designers, that requires a lot of time for sure)
3. Other thoughts? - i'm really annoyed that ET gets all the competition outfits. they could be paid in some other way or then there should be an open voting for everyone (with the names hidden) and ET could participate too. and then i'd like there to be more of the prize outfits than 3 in zodiac competitions too, of course
4. Do you have any questions for any of the teams? If so, for what team and what are your questions? - no i don't
What other ways of payment would you suggest?
How do you feel about SMT and the blogger team receiving their competition outfits?
How would you suggest having public voting - surveymonkey, a poll, etc.?

when you waste several hours a week on team .. ;-

1. On average, how much time do you spend each week doing team related activities for each team you are on? Depends on if I host an event or not. If not, probably under an hour. But if I do, I'll check around and post in the ET thread about it for hours a day if I need to.
2. What's the hardest thing about being on each of the teams for you? putting time aside.. I'm a very busy person, I have work and am a full time student with lots of homework and I have personal things going on atm as well. I'm pretty stressed, ngl. a little bird told me I could have been a moderator, but I figured one team would already be pushing me a bit. and I prefer and think I am better with ET, so here I am.
3. Where would you like to see the teams go in the next several months? I want to see more collaboration between teams. like, I've noticed several teams host competitions now, which I feel like is the entire point of having the ET.. I feel like there should be communication there and we could just host the events for them (they can judge if they want, it's whatever, ET can just be the figure head). I feel like it is a little confusing for some members to have so many teams hosting things when that's what the ET was created for, y'know?
4. What other things would you like the members of VP to know about you and the teams you are involved with?

only on ET, but ..

- We don't decide based off of usernames. I know when I place my votes for entries, I just copy and paste the outfit and don't even look at the username. If I'm the host, I have to go back to the thread and see who the person is usually before I can announce the winners lmao.

 - With people saying teams are exclusive, I can kind of see what they think that since some people have several badges. However, I am not sure of this. For example, I hosted ET apps back in 2014. Chandelier applied and her account was only a few days old and I had NO idea who she was, never saw her before. But her app was excellent. So we accepted her. As you can see, that paid off as she is still a member on the team and has contributed a lot.

- With people being on multiple teams.. as long as they can keep up and don't slack off with any of the teams, I don't care. If they wrote a good enough app for one team, they probably managed to do so again.

- We get the outfits for the time and effort we put into the team.. yes, maybe one or two people hosted that particular competition, but does that mean all the other members should not get rewarded for all the other competitions they host? I personally have only been hosting credit competitions so far, so I would have nothing as opposed to other ET members. plus everyone would want to host those specific competitions lol.

Your last point really have me perspective, ty.

also the questions:
1. Do you think there should be a limit to the number of teams a person is on? If so, what do you think that number should be? As long as you can handle everything and don't do things sloopy just to be in the team, then no. But for the sake of people not taking more work than they can handle, then maybe 2.

2. On average, how much time do you think each of the teams spends on doing team related activities?
It problaly depends, but atleast 1 hour a day (ofc some peeps will spend 5 hours one day and none next day, but u get me)

3. Other thoughts?  Keep up the good work!

4. Do you have any questions for any of the teams? If so, for what team and what are your questions?
Open question to all teams: what's the best with being in your team(s) ?

1. Do you think there should be a limit to the number of teams a person is on? If so, what do you think that number should be?
- No, I don't. I don't see why the number of badges should affect that. If you are qualified for the job then you should have a chance to get it.

2. On average, how much time do you think each of the teams spends on doing team related activities?
How do you mean? I think they are doing a great job and that they put their efforts in it. It may seems like what they do is easy, but I think there's a lot more to it then we see. In my opinion they are a part of keeping the site going. The Sun Sign competitions every month, every Thursday we have a WWIB competition, recently we have gotten Fashionista Friday and Selfie Saturday. Let's not forget that we also get a lot of free stuff. We have been given 3 gorgeous outfits three Sundays in a row now from the ET. For free, both male AND female. And from time to time we get free items from the SMT as well, in exchange for solving the riddle/questions but they are still free. I think they are putting lot of planning into this and they have to make sure the codes works and etc.

3. Other thoughts?
The only thing that "bothers" me, or not really bother me but I can't put the right word to it. Is that I often only see the same members of the teams, and there's so many other members that I have never seen written in the Forum or haven't been active in the competitions. Of course I don't know everything and I'm not saying that those people are doing a "less of a work", but it would have been nice to see them all.

4. Do you have any questions for any of the teams? If so, for what team and what are your questions?
Not really.

I like having the opportunity to host my competitions. I haven't used an idea of my own yet (other than incorporating them into existing events), but I have something in the works with the team that I am excited for. : ) I generally like planning big things, which idk if that is good or bad. I also enjoy having the chance to work with other users, gives me a chance to talk to people and something for us to talk about. Like I mentioned not knowing Chandelier when I accepted her, she is now one of my favorite people on the site after getting to know her through ET.

ok the only thing that has been annoying me a little, and im aware that it sounds a bit petty and jealous lol which isnt my intetion, is that the team members have all been getting a ton of exclusive items that end up being the most sought after items and going for extortionate prices. and like i understand that they do a lot of work and deserve to be rewarded bla bla bla but we have ended up in a situation where there is a bunch of stuff that loads of team members own and then like, three competition winners own. and the fact that there are so many of the same people on different teams doesnt help. it just feels like this little... club lol, like in the trading forum, and if ur not on a team (or spending loads of $$$ on credits) it doesnt feel like u really have a chance to be a part of this whole buying/selling community.  i hope i have phrased this well.

in my opinion this doesn't sound petty at all because i agree 100% i'm glad someone said it.

Questions for Team Members:
1. On average, how much time do you spend each week doing team related activities for each team you are on?
Currently with ET I've spent time helping run the the first selfie saturday which including coming up with the rules, keeping the forum active, narrowing down winners, and sending out prizes. I've also helped with sending out prizes for MCM which takes quite some time to get round people. I've also put quite a bit of work into my upcoming event (conceptualising it and figuring out exactly how I want it). With SMT I am fairly active in the forums in regards to coming up with questions/riddles, feedback on certain ideas/layouts and being as quick as I can in response to voting forums. So I would say perhaps a few hours a week I'd be active in the group forums and a few additional hours working on building up my own ideas.
With regards to being a MOD I'm still trying to learn everything and how it all works etc, which is what I've spent most of my time on VP doing since I got the place.

2. What's the hardest thing about being on each of the teams for you?
Probably worrying about how people may react to certain ideas, especially when it's something you have come up with yourself and is a kinda new idea. It can be quite scary almost to put that in the eye of the public. Also working around time zones or if I'm busy for a day (ie thursday) and I miss a fair bit of conversation around an idea or problem that's occurred.
3. Where would you like to see the teams go in the next several months?
Continuing to make an impact on VP and giving users an extra layer to the game. It's one thing to buy 24 hour sets or LE sets in the fashion shop but it's a whole other ball game to win items through a competition. I know from personal experience of winning one of the raffle prizes I felt so happy for several days :')
4. Who other things would you like the members of VP to know about you and the teams you are involved with?
I think the main thing is that we do the voting fairly for every event that is run and I really wish people wouldn't try to imply that we don't. It's pretty upsetting to see people make claims that it isn't. We choose the winners based on what we think fits with the theme of the event, and a variation of people are usually picked and then the ones with the most votes inevitably win.

I'd say thats a pretty unfair statement in a way. before I was even on any teams and before I started buying credits (which was only two months ago) I was still part of the buying/selling here. It was actually all I ever did for a long time.

I honestly just want more writing competitions I know someone on events team said it doesnt get as much traffic as outfits but as the population is increasing there may be a new audience that enjoys such a contest...plus, not all of us has enough items to make award winning looks tbh

by writing contests i mean poems / short stories not comments on a forum
