The codes and time zone stuff are relevant because ET isn't doing stuff for ET but rather for the community, so taking time to consider when the best time to do something is should only be natural. Or maybe that's just how I think of it as a former ET member.

But honestly even I feel like ET actually benefit more from the competitions they do than the general community as only so many win an items while they automatically gets it. But I mean ET could just not be a thing and not do anything so even the little competitions and such is beneficially to the community as now there's really not any other ways of 'earning' cr aside from selling, wheel, and competitions.

and the whole "but we put effort in hosting the comps" is just bullcrap. Like literally it's just not true. There's what 10 ET members? There's no way that every member is involved in every competition. And if that IS true then ET's got bigger issues than I originally thought xD

I really think only the members who hosted the competition (which should just be 1 person a competition really) should get the prize.

yeah it's a bit complicated and SMT + BT works the same way (hence this thread lol). It's hard to know what to do though, because the sun sign competition is known to have gorgeous prizes and it's the same host every time (event was her idea). So that person would be rich af and the sets would be harder to get (4 ig vs. like 15). and then most of the sets from member appreciation week would only go to me. I personally think there should just be more winners since there are a lot more users now and then the items are less ridiculous to get.

but like i was at certain points literally the only person being active in ET. i put so much time and effort in. i made my own competitions + i made my own layouts. theme weeks were actually my idea years ago and like i still feel like even up to this day, i created that once.

i'm probably giving myself more credit than i should but music week was so great. didn't i maybe do that one with you?

it just wasn't very rewarding because all we could do was give away cr + pd so no one even bothered to join. even super simple "everybody gets a prize" competitions were only joined by like 5 ppl at most.

and i've thought about the amount too, but if 1 person gets it + the designer, then instead of only having 3 people win, you could have like 5 people win or so, or even maybe 7 or 8. like there's sooooo many people that join those competitions for sets that it's really okay to have more winners than just 3.

but obviously being in SMT if ur gonna post a code then u know the code and you know when it's gonna be posted so you'd be first to claim it either way, whether it's because you 'deserve it' as a member or just because you are automatically fastest xD

I don't know, honestly. It does annoy me a bit. I understand SMT doing WWIB to get more page views / content but when they host additional competitions I get confused, unless they wanted to host something social media related. Then BT completely confuses me. I saw on the dutch they do blog entries, but here I haven't seen that and then they host a competition once a month. I asked Miranda about it but nothing really happened after.

Yeah there should be more winners D: but then that ruins the point of them being "special"

I remembered this one Easter event where only the people who contributed most get the specific item (I was suppose to get the little bunny plush because I didn't really do anything but didn't get it since the code expired D: I only missed like one day tho)

But no one sells the sets either way :/ I'm gonna have so much trouble trying to get the Leo set D: especially since it's the very last one TT^TT but I really need it since I waited so long for it to finally be Leo XD ahhhh how my wardrobe will be deflated afterward.

but atm i guess the social media pages have verrrrry few likes/followers so maybe this is a way to gain more followers and more likes? so that new ppl see the pages? but even so, i don't think this strategy would ever change even if the pages were big.

if there's less people from ET getting the item then that doesn't ruin the point of them being special because there'll still be as many items in the game? Also if it's clear that just 1 person is hosting the competition and it's clear who that person is, then the other ET members would obviously be free to join the contest for a chance to win the outfit in a fair manner

the shitty part about that is people would assume favoritism from the team when the member won. like when we had member of the month, Eli got shit for winning and being on ET.

Or rather the people of that zodiac sign gets it.

There should be more ET members tho, or just team members in general to promote activity, but like not anyone random that just wants to profit.
