but you should check out the secret history by donna tartt, the story itself is basically a modern greek tragedy and the main characters are classics students and there are just so many allusions to greek mythology it's a feast for lovers of mythology (and pretentious aesthetes like me)

i am also quite interested in the iliad & antigone etc.
