- more team communication. from what i've seen the mods barely know of each other how often they're online and how active they are. there might be a rotation system but it doesn't seem to work well enough for things to be covered by 1 or 2 mods when all the others are offline.
- handle reports better. sometimes, someone gets a TO for speaking another language but someone else who does something really offensive gets nothing. I know it's the duty of us to report inappropriate things, but it is also the duty of mods to be alert, and come into action when things get out of hand. also, try TO an individual more instead of immediately closing the threads, when it's majorly 1 or 2 people fucking it up for the rest. if you're not sure whether to give someone a warning/TO or for how long, discuss using a group chat or the team forum. don't give one person who has broken the same rule a 3 day TO and another one only 2 hours (example).
- make a FAQ. if you do not have time to answer the 24187d2 (oops there's a letter in there but i bet you didn't even read the number) messages you get, create a public FAQ for people who don't really know how the site functions, and ask people in the threads what they want to know about the mods.
- check activity. mods should be active and if they can't be they should say that beforehand. there are multiple mod members complaining about inactive members, and while that in the ET or BT might not be a disaster, it is absolutely necessary for mods to be active when they can.
- please don't be biased. i know it's hard, but as mod you have influence and authority over others. if mods appear corrupt, the respect for mods will decline.
and last but not least, where have the mods been honestly? i have barely seen them in action and i have been on this site for more than one year. i only see them when they're closing threads or moving threads in the wrong place. if that is the only thing they have to do i honestly don't understand why they're busy 24/7
