NT- Application Questions

How will we post it?  does it need editing? does the level matter?

Can I apply for both? Like I know I won't have time for both teams so I don't wanna end up being picked in both teams (even thought that is highly unlikely lol)

For uploading our work, is VP blog posts okay?
I had some word documents of college work I was thinking of sending too, for diversity, but I'm not sure where to upload those - would it was something like Google docs?

Yup, the VP blog is ok! If you're gonna use Google Docs, just make sure you make it shared so we can see it (:

If you're applying for the writing position, you can put your texts straight into the application message, on your VP blog, or somewhere else like through Google Docs (make sure it's shared!).
If you're applying for the layouting position, you can upload your image using Imgur or similar. You can put your images in the application message (pasted or linked), or on your VP blog.

I'm not sure what you mean by if it needs editing.

Level doesn't matter. (:

Anyone and everyone can apply to both
Regarding the second sentence, from what I know SMT is holding a boot camp therefore anyone selected from the written portion will be transferred into the boot camp & picked from there in 3 months time. In NT, we're holding a second round that will last a week. Therefore, if you get picked from both, you will have a feeling of what to except on both teams. So you can still change your mind when you want.
But I strongly suggest that if you can't invest the time and commitment for both teams, choose one. And I say this for everyone who is thinking of applying for both.

Is it okay that one of my writing examples is fairly technical?
I have 3 examples; creative writing, a VP blog post and a college essay. The essay uses a lot of technical film talk but it's one of the best I have atm. The blog post is also film related, is that okay?

(I'm sorry, I just worry that you may think I'm a one-trick pony or that I can only write very 'stiff'. I don't have many laid-back posts though I feel my 3 examples kinda show that: the creative is the least formal, the blog is medium and the essay is most?)

<3

EDIT: I am currently working on a blog post that is less formal than the one I have & it's about cartoons. I'm not sure if it'll be finished in time for the applications though I can try to finish it if you feel you would like to see a laid back piece of writing? :3

Anything written is completely fine! The tone doesn't really matter much to me in my opinion c: Your creativity shows not only in writing style but also topics you create and such. I think a blog about film sounds very interesting and creative c: So even if it has technical terms, it doesn't mean it's less interesting.

We're not judging harshly, we promise!

If your able to finish it go for it c: Send in what you feel represents you best but we're not judging that strict cx Don't stress out too much

Edit: aha sorry I answered instead of photo xc but I'm sure she'll give her input soon too

ah tysm for responding <3 I stress way too much haha. Part of me is also hoping that a lot of you will recognise my style from the site too, as my work tends to show a completely different side to me, that you can also use to see that my style is flexible :3 (minus the emojis and abbreviations).

That makes me feel a lot better. The blog post doesn't feature as much of the language (except for the comments) as I wanted to make it so that people could learn from it and not feel intimidated by the language :3. If anything does need clearing up in the college essay, though, feel free to message me anytime. It is likely I won't use language like that in articles unless it was for something such as, explaining the language etc.

Haha, I'm really glad. I do wish I had more of an array to send in but a lot of my writing has been work-based the past couple of years and it's only recently I've had chance and the headspace to write my own stuff. The only other thing I have is my recent personal statement for my university application which I do think is less formal and is about a different topic (though reading essentially 2 applications wouldn't be the best thing xD).

I'll try though the team as been a VP dream of mine since I joined so it's hard not to haha. I am having fun though - its a good stress x3

Maybe some chocolate will calm me down
(I wish I had someone to proof read this. I've probably repeated myself somewhere in it xD)

No problem <3 Aha I feel you c: and we will definitely notice your style!

I'm glad your feeling better now. If we do need anything to be clarified, we'll be sure to send over a message ASAP. Also, it's fine if you don't use that language, this is just meant to give us examples how you write and what type of things you write.

Don't worry, it's perfectly fine! Like I said, these applications are meant for us to just see what you like to write about, how you write, and etc. Any amount (as long as it's 2 or more) is fine c:

Aw that's really nice to hear c: I can't wait to see your application and I'm glad you're having fun! We're having fun also looking through the applications c: It brings me joy <3 Good stress is the best stress!

Aha it's fine! I write pretty long too cx
